Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joe Masters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robinson Proctor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe Masters! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Robinson Proctor! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Proctor gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Proctor looking to control.

Masters stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Proctor swivels though and keeps the full guard. Masters stands up out of Proctor's guard for a moment - Proctor manages to land a nice upkick. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Proctor can do anything to dispel that myth. Masters trying to control the position from guard on top but Proctor is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Masters pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Proctor is keeping the position for now. Proctor tries to strike from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round. Masters postures up.
Masters trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Proctor looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Masters puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Proctor looks like he's trying to stand up.

Masters content to control rather than advance. Proctor is looking for a sweep. Masters is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Proctor trying to control but Masters postures up.
Masters seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Proctor does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Masters moves into the clinch successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Proctor can't get the takedown.
Masters gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Proctor regains guard.
Proctor controlling Masters's posture. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Masters preventing the sweep. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Proctor strikes from his own guard. Proctor really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Masters. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Proctor keeping moving, preventing Masters from controlling successfully. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Proctor working a defensive guard here.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Masters closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Masters decides to stand up, so the ref orders Proctor to his feet. Proctor with a lazy takedown attempt and Masters counters with a left and a right that stings Proctor. Proctor looks gassed! Masters gets a clinch. Proctor has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Masters after a bit of a struggle. Joe Masters has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robinson Proctor. Proctor wants a takedown but no success here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Proctor tightens his grip and picks Masters up, before dumping him to the ground. Masters manages to land in guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Masters is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Masters working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Proctor doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Masters is tightening it up a little... Proctor has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Proctor reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Proctor taps out! Nice BJJ there by Masters!
