Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bryce Locke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Paul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Sosuke Kotani and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Locke fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Locke lands a jab to Paul's midsection.
Locke tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Paul manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Good work by Locke as he checks the leg kick.
Paul closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

It looks like Paul might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Locke gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Locke apologises and we restart here on the feet.
