Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Claes Fleming (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kazushi Sakuraba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Claes Fleming!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kazushi Sakuraba!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fleming moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Sakuraba wants to clinch but Fleming slips to the side
and Fleming makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Sakuraba doesn't manage to clinch there - Fleming circles away.
Sakuraba takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Sakuraba avoids the head kick by Fleming.

and Fleming counters with a slapping leg kick.

Sakuraba moves in looking to clinch but Fleming pushes him off.
Sakuraba chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Fleming can pounce on him.

Sakuraba fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Fleming sprawls well initially but Sakuraba persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Sakuraba wants to work for an arm triangle but Fleming is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

That's time! Fleming's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fleming throws a front kick aimed at Sakuraba's knee but Sakuraba avoids it well.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Fleming enables Sakuraba to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Fleming manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Sakuraba closes the distance and clinches up with Fleming, looking for a takedown. Sakuraba pushes Fleming against the ropes but Fleming circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Fleming fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Sakuraba.
Sakuraba shoots in looking for a takedown. Fleming tries to sprawl out of it but Sakuraba keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Fleming manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Fleming lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Fleming moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Claes Fleming will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
