Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Liam Cote! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mark Cage! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Elvis Blanc and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cote with a hook. Cote scores with a decent looking hook. Cote throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Cage has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Cage avoids the body shot from Cote.
Cage misses with a low kick. Cote scores with a shot to the body.
Cote throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Cage sees it coming and avoids it easily. Cage looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Cote wants to get back to his feet. Well, if Cage is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Cote has had enough of the clinch but Cage keeps him there for the moment. Cage drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Cote gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Liam Cote has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Cage. Cage tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Cage goes for a takedown attempt but Cote pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Cage looks to land a body kick but Cote moved away. Cote fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Cage looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Cage looks gassed! Cage uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Cote. Cote circles away from the clinch attempt and Cote counters with a nice body shot. Cote lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Cage on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Cage fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Cote avoids it really well and circles away. Cage is breathing heavily. Cote circles away from the clinch attempt.

Cote manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Cage tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Cote swivels and escapes. Cote connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Cage's hands. Cote goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. A punch combination from Cote misses. Cote ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cage moves away. Cage shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Cote counters with a nice uppercut. Cage takes one to the side of the head.

And that's the end of the fight! Liam Cote showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cote, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
