Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Marcelo Lopez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matthew Harrison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lopez comes to the cage accompanied by Ain't No Sunshine . The crowd seem to be enjoying Harrison's choice of entrance music: sox. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Marcelo Lopez !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Matthew Harrison!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Atkins and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harrison shoots for a double leg takedown but Lopez sprawls well. He's pushed Harrison's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Harrison looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Lopez fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Harrison to the ground. Lopez is now in Harrison's guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Harrison is working an open guard so Lopez takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
No luck for Harrison with that takedown attempt.
Marcelo Lopez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matthew Harrison.
Harrison closes the distance and clinches up with Lopez , looking for a takedown. Harrison pushes Lopez against the cage but Lopez circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Lopez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Harrison enables Lopez to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Harrison manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Lopez stands up and waves to Harrison to follow him.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Harrison shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lopez as he jumps to the side.

Lopez shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Lopez was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Harrison wants to control but Lopez is having none of it.

Lopez stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Harrison tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Harrison tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Lopez manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Lopez has closed the distance and engaged Harrison in a clinch.
Harrison unloads a knee to the mid-section. Lopez lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Harrison tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Lopez smiles and moves away.

Lopez bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Lopez .
Harrison gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Harrison is looking to control Lopez 's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Harrison avoid being mounted?
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Harrison regains full guard. Nicely done.

Lopez stands and steps away. Harrison gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Harrison misses with a body kick.
Harrison throws a sloppy head kick and Lopez moves out of range easily.
Harrison shoots in looking for a takedown. Lopez tries to sprawl out of it but Harrison keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lopez manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Harrison is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Harrison has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lopez is working away from the top position though.

Lopez escapes and gets back to his feet.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Harrison manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Lopez is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Harrison shoots for a takedown but Lopez saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Harrison gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Lopez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Harrison on the ground.

Lopez shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Harrison manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Lopez stands and steps away. Harrison gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

and Harrison counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Lopez is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Harrison throws a one two combo.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Lopez shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Harrison's guard.

Lopez stands up and waves to Harrison to follow him.

Lopez takes the fight into the clinch.
Harrison tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Lopez avoids it.

Lopez 's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Lopez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Harrison tries to avoid it but Lopez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Harrison to the ground. Harrison escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Harrison fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lopez avoids it really well and circles away.

Lopez is looking to stand but Lopez has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.

Marcelo Lopez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Harrison throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lopez 's waist but Lopez gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Harrison off to one side.

Harrison tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Harrison on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Lopez feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Lopez wants to get up but he can't break Harrison's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Harrison quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Lopez has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Harrison celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
