Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Isaac Clarksdale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Henry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Isaac Clarksdale!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jake Henry!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clarksdale wants to clinch up but Henry keeps it at a distance.
Clarksdale tries to clinch but Henry moves out of range.

Henry shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Clarksdale on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Clarksdale tries to get out of the position.
Henry looks to land a strike but Clarksdale avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Henry is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Henry content to stall in guard here.
Henry is fighting to break Clarksdale's control of his arms but Clarksdale is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Clarksdale throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Clarksdale might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Henry avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Henry has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Clarksdale is proving hard to escape from.
Henry postures up.
Henry is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Clarksdale has Henry pulled in close to control his posture.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Clarksdale closes the distance and pushes Henry back into the cage.

Henry pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Henry closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Clarksdale's guard.
Clarksdale pulls Henry in close to his closed guard and prevents Henry from doing any damage or advancing position.
Clarksdale is trying to keep Henry in close.

Clarksdale is looking for a triangle but Henry pushes his legs off easily.
Clarksdale seems keen to control Henry's posture.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Henry's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Clarksdale pulls Henry in close to prevent any damage.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Isaac Clarksdale just wasn't active enough.
Henry looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Clarksdale is fending him off so far but Henry persists. Nope, Clarksdale circles away and we're back to standing.
Henry shoots in for a takedown but Clarksdale shows good takedown defense.
Henry keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Clarksdale tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Henry manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Clarksdale jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Clarksdale throws a jab but it's blocked by Henry.

so Henry counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Clarksdale has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Henry trying to control but Clarksdale is working from the bottom.
Henry wants to get up but he can't break Clarksdale's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Clarksdale tries to clinch but Henry moves out of range.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Clarksdale shoots in and gets a takedown into Henry's guard.
Clarksdale wants to control from the top but Henry keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Isaac Clarksdale will probably get the nod.
That's time! Clarksdale's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Henry pulls Clarksdale into guard.
Henry trying to control the position.

Clarksdale in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Henry controls Clarksdale momentarily but Clarksdale frees himself.

Henry throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Clarksdale escapes and throws Henry's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Henry is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Clarksdale has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Clarksdale is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Henry has escaped the position, nice work there.
Clarksdale staying calm.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Clarksdale misses with the ground and pound.
Henry is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Clarksdale's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Jake Henry has got the better of the ground game so far.
Henry is looking to control Clarksdale's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Henry avoid being mounted?
Henry tries to roll over but Clarksdale keeps him under control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Clarksdale tries to pass the half guard into mount. Henry knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Clarksdale perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Clarksdale is trying to control the action in half guard but Henry is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Clarksdale is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Well, if Clarksdale is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

We're going to have a standup here because Isaac Clarksdale wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Henry is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

and Henry cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Clarksdale closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Henry's guard.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Henry has a takedown stuffed.
Henry throws a nice inside leg kick.

Clarksdale forces Henry back against the cage and clinches.
A bit of stalling here from Clarksdale.
Henry tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Clarksdale avoids it.

Henry is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Clarksdale to keep the fight standing.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Isaac Clarksdale.

Henry drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Clarksdale is trying to escape the position but Henry is controlling the position.
Clarksdale sneaks back into half guard.
Henry is looking to take a break and control but Clarksdale is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Henry is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Clarksdale tries to hold on but Henry pushes him away.

Clarksdale is trying desperately to improve position.
Clarksdale is working hard here to advance position.
Clarksdale reaches up and holds on to Henry to control the position.
Clarksdale is in all sorts of trouble here.
Clarksdale tries to lock up and control but Henry gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Clarksdale tries to reverse the position but Henry maintains control.
Clarksdale wants to control but Henry is having none of it.

Henry throws some wild stikes that Clarksdale manages to avoid easily.
Clarksdale is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Henry looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

Clarksdale holds on for dear life, controlling Henry's posture momentarily.
Poor strikes thrown by Henry there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Henry thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Clarksdale is squirming around, avoiding Henry's attempts to control the action.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jake Henry comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Clarksdale has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
