Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cody Klien (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wallace Mu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cody Klien! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Wallace Mu! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Felipe Paraventi and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Klien dives in and grabs Mu's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mu pushes down on Klien's head and hops out. Klien closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Klien wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Mu, who protects the arm well. Klien is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Mu knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Mu is looking for a sweep. Mu wants to control but Klien postures up. Klien is trying to get an arm triangle but Mu is defending well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mu sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Mu slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Mu is trying to hold Klien in close to prevent damage but Klien has managed to pass into half guard.
Klien is thwarting Mu's attempts to control the position. Klien is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Mu sees it coming and defends easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Klien is looking to take a break and control but Mu is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mu is trying to control but Klien passes into side control!
Klien looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Mu really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Klien. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Klien is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Mu is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Klien tries for a kimura but Mu is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mu is trying to get back to half guard. Klien trying to control the action but Mu is working from the bottom. Mu is looking to reverse the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Klien has an Americana. Mu didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Klien is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Klien hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Cody Klien! Our winner, Cody Klien, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
