The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shirou Masuda and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deathgrip misses with a takedown
and Archangel counters with a shoot takedown. Deathgrip fights it but they end up in guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Deathgrip working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Archangel.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Archangel accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Archangel wants to pass the guard but Deathgrip is keeping the position.

Archangel stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Deathgrip has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Archangel manages to get his head free but now Deathgrip has transitioned to an armbar! Archangel grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Deathgrip! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
