The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Garrido drops his hands momentarily. Kongo doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Garrido staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Garrido doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.

After winning the bout, Surge Kongo thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
