Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, clark McCahon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bengui Sudo! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Matheus Silva and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown by Sudo or perhaps it was just good defense by McCahon which made him look bad. Sudo swats away the attempt to clinch by McCahon. McCahon moves into the clinch. Sudo breaks from the clinch.
McCahon clinches up with Sudo and pushes him back against the cage. A nice right hand lands inside from McCahon. McCahon escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Good standup being displayed there by McCahon as he connects with a hook. McCahon misses with a body kick. McCahon looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sudo is fending him off so far but McCahon persists. Nope, Sudo circles away and we're back to standing. McCahon lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Sudo circles away from the clinch attempt.
McCahon tries to clinch up but Sudo circles away and keeps his distance. McCahon changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sudo looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sudo is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked McCahon off and has taken his back! Sudo is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
McCahon looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. McCahon defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Sudo's arms. McCahon is in bad spot here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McCahon defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
Sudo looks gassed! McCahon tries to roll but Sudo sticks to his back.
McCahon tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Sudo can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as McCahon is looking to escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McCahon holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Sudo tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
McCahon suckers Sudo into throwing a sloppy strike and uses the momentum to reverse the position beautifully! McCahon is now in Sudo's guard!
Sudo wants to sweep but no luck. Sudo has his feet on McCahon's thighs here. He's pushed McCahon off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! McCahon screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
