PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rocky The Hitman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rigan Machado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The Hitman comes into the arena with All within My Hands blaring out of the sound system. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rigan Machado!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yuuki Gou and Hirohito Nitta.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Machado. The Hitman does a little dance to reset his feet.
The Hitman shoots in for a takedown but Machado shows good takedown defense.
The Hitman looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Machado takes a swing at The Hitman's ribcage but misses.
Machado throws a jab but it's blocked by The Hitman.
The Hitman takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Machado gets a clinch.
Machado tries to work over The Hitman's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Machado has had enough of the clinch but The Hitman keeps him there for the moment.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The Hitman is trying to drag Machado to the mat but Machado just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Machado pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Machado's corner calls for a 1-2. Machado obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Machado ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Machado no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
