Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lucas shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Funkiunga pinned against the cage. Funkiunga gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Funkiunga lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Lucas backs up against the cage.
Lucas shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Funkiunga but Funkiunga pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Funkiunga shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lucas defends it nicely.
Lucas stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lucas wants it to stay on the feet.
Funkiunga leaves Lucas with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Lucas feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
