Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nate Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Blaze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blaze is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by John Blaze - Fat Joe Ft. Nas, Big Pun, Raekwon. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nate Cruz! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Johnny Blaze! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Sano and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blaze throws a sloppy head kick and Cruz moves out of range easily. Cruz takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Cruz avoids the body shot from Blaze.
Blaze throws a push kick but Cruz slaps the foot to one side. Johnny Blaze seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A punch lands to the side of Cruz 's head but he takes it in his stride. Blaze swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Blaze stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Blaze wants it to stay on the feet. Cruz waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Blaze. Blaze waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Cruz. Some wild striking there from Blaze.
Blaze thuds his right hand into Cruz's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blaze scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Blaze is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Cruz fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Blaze avoids it really well and circles away. Blaze throws out a leg kick but Cruz moves out of range and Blaze only half commits. Cruz dives in and grabs Blaze's left leg, looking for a takedown. Blaze pushes down on Cruz's head and hops out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nate Cruz. That's going to take a lot out of him. Blaze jabs at Cruz's body. Cruz checks a leg kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Blaze throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Blaze throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Cruz slips a straight right by Blaze. A left and a right from Blaze both land. Nice combination. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Blaze lands a glancing blow to the side of Cruz's head. Cruz on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Blaze scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Johnny Blaze is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Blaze throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Cruz drives through and clinches with Blaze against the cage.
Blaze is trying to break the clinch but Cruz is controlling him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Blaze tries to break the clinch but Cruz is controlling the position. Blaze wants to get back to striking at distance but Cruz won't allow it.
Blaze is looking to break free of the clinch but Cruz has double underhooks. Blaze tries to circle away but Cruz has him pinned against the cage. Blaze is fighting off a takedown attempt but Cruz is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Blaze to the mat. Blaze regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Blaze wants to get back to his feet but Cruz is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Blaze looking for a sweep. Not yet Blaze, not yet. Blaze working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Cruz. Cruz postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Blaze is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Cruz, into his guard. Blaze wants to stand and escape but instead Cruz has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cruz throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Blaze works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Cruz passes Blaze's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Blaze is refusing to be controlled, as Cruz sits in half guard. Blaze wants to get back to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Cruz is looking for a kimura here.
Cruz is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Blaze is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
