Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tom Putnam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Dillen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Matt Dillen!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Eliza Hachem and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Putnam clinches.
Knees to the body from Dillen.
Putnam wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Dillen tries to pull guard but Putnam holds him up against the cage and eventually Dillen drops back down to his feet.
Dillen tightens his grip and picks Putnam up, before dumping him to the ground. Putnam manages to land in guard.
Putnam tries to strike from the bottom.
Putnam is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Putnam is working hard here to advance position.
Dillen looking to pass the guard.
Dillen gets to his feet. Putnam looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Putnam misses with the combination.
Dillen throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Dillen fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Dillen looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Tom Putnam has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matt Dillen.
Dillen throws a head kick that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Putnam lands a two punch combo.
Putnam is looking to clinch.
Putnam scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
It looks like Matt Dillen has been cut.
Dillen lands with a thumping leg kick.
Dillen shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Dillen showed some decent athleticism there.
Putnam wants to improve his position but Dillen is controlling well.
Putnam knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dillen on the ground.
Dillen takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Putnam throws a strike from the bottom but Dillen passes into side control!
Dillen is looking to take a break and control but Putnam is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Dillen happy to just control the position for now.
Putnam is not content to let Dillen control the position.
Dillen tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Putnam shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Dillen looks gassed!
Dillen lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Putnam!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Putnam is trying to escape the mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Putnam swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Putnam throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Putnam is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Dillen locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Putnam is forced to tap!
