Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Paul Taylor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tito Desperado!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Dillan Fox and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taylor misses with a series of wild punches.

Desperado gets caught napping as Taylor dives in and scores a takedown. Desperado manages to retain guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Desperado keeping full guard, as Taylor tries to pass.

Desperado has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Taylor can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Taylor trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Taylor working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Taylor accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Desperado is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Taylor is aware though and is defending well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Desperado is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Taylor avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Desperado avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Taylor postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Desperado has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Taylor is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Desperado.
Desperado sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Desperado is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Taylor's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Taylor's back!

Desperado is working hard for the rear naked choke here.

Desperado is not going to allow Taylor to sit and survive in this position.

Desperado controlling well, preventing Taylor from escaping the position.
Desperado is trying to stick to Taylor's back but Taylor is turning into Desperado. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Desperado's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Taylor.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Taylor is in close to Desperado's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Taylor has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Taylor trying to control the position from guard on top but Desperado is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Desperado is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Taylor frees his head nicely. Oh but Desperado has switched to an armbar! Taylor is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
