Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Roma Mano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anton Walter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anton Walter is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mano fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Walter, pushing him back against the cage.
Mano is trying to stall.

Walter pulls guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Walter can do anything to dispel that myth.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Anton Walter wasn't active enough on the ground.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Mano lands a hook that snaps the head of Walter backwards.

Mano is pressed up against the cage. Walter has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Mano down to the mat. Mano avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Mano escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Mano has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Walter after a bit of a struggle.

Mano pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Mano stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mano wants it to stay on the feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Walter misses with a takedown attempt - Mano sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Walter is trying to control Mano's posture but Mano avoids it.

Walter is looking to regain half guard here but Mano keeps moving and retains side control.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Mano moves into the clinch.
Walter stops a takedown attempt from Mano.
Walter has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Mano is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Mano lands with a short shot to the head.

Mano closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Walter to the mat! Walter manages to get full guard.

and Walter decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Mano's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mano is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Walter slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Mano fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Walter to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Walter looks to clinch but Mano throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Walter taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
