Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hussak Claw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stevie Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reyes has chosen All the Above as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hussak Claw!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Stevie Reyes!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Winston Howard and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Claw takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
The fighters circling - Reyes throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Reyes throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Claw stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Claw misses with a takedown attempt - Reyes sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Claw shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Reyes but Reyes pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Claw fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hussak Claw. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Reyes bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Claw tries for a takedown but Reyes sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Claw dives in and grabs Reyes's left leg, looking for a takedown. Reyes pushes down on Claw's head and hops out.

Claw tries to score a power double leg takedown but Reyes sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Claw somewhat.
Reyes leaves Claw with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Reyes tries to bum rush Claw with a series of wild strikes but Claw uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Claw misses with an uppercut. Reyes saw that one coming.

Reyes connects with a crisp jab.
Reyes moves into range and connects with a jab.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Claw, as that shot connected.
Reyes will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Reyes keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Sloppy strikes from Reyes. Those never looked like landing.

Claw shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Reyes defends it nicely.

and Reyes counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Claw thinking.
Nice takedown defense from Reyes. No joy for Claw on that attempt.
Claw shoots in looking for a takedown. Reyes tries to sprawl out of it but Claw keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Reyes manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Reyes is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Claw rather than just go for the knockout.

and Reyes counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Claw shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Reyes but Reyes pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Reyes wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Stevie Reyes is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Reyes punishes Claw's body with a nice straight punch.
Claw is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Reyes's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
Claw walks into a jab.
Reyes misses with a two punch combination.
Reyes keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Claw walks into a stiff left hand from Reyes.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Claw takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Claw fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Reyes lands a right hook to the body.
Stevie Reyes is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Reyes displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Claw.

Claw on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Claw is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Claw moves nicely into side control.
Reyes is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Claw asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Reyes tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Claw is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Reyes is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Claw creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Reyes sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Claw is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Reyes has escaped the position, nice work there.
Reyes throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
Claw cracks Reyes with a big right hand but Reyes just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Reyes parries the strikes from Claw easily there. Claw is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Reyes to escape.
Claw is putting a hurting on Reyes here, landing some big shots from side control.

Reyes really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Claw. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Reyes is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Claw is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Reyes can do anything to dispel that myth.

Claw is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Reyes is just riding it out for now. Claw eventually gives up the hold.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Reyes lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Claw takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Reyes fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Claw manages to avoid it.
Claw takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Reyes shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Claw eats them both and turns towards Reyes to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Reyes moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Claw takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

I think Reyes has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
