Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Paul Alson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marlo Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Santos has chosen Gucci Mane - I'm a Dog as his entrance music. Paul Alson could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Marlo Santos's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Paul Alson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marlo Santos! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Saam Ante and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Santos dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Alson. That did some damage! Alson goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Some wild striking there from Alson.
Alson shoots in for a takedown but Santos shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Santos ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Santos throws a right and a left that Alson avoids nicely. Santos scores with a push kick. Alson checks a leg kick. Santos misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Alson.
Alson shoots for a takedown but Santos saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Santos avoids the body shot from Alson.
Santos tries to close the distance and clinch up but Alson swats him away and circles back towards the center. Alson shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Santos fails in his attempt to clinch. Alson keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Alson moves forwards but Santos connects with a nice, crisp jab. Alson does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Alson bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Santos wants to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alson loads up on a big right hand but Santos slips the punch. Alson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Alson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Santos defends it nicely. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paul Alson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Santos throws a sloppy head kick and Alson moves out of range easily. Alson throws a right and a left that Santos avoids nicely. Alson has a takedown stuffed. Alson misses with an attempted mid kick.
Marlo Santos is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Alson scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Alson taking a breather here. Alson trying to control the action but Santos is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Santos is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Alson asserts his dominance and retains side control. Alson working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Alson wants to control but Santos is keeping him busy. Alson throws an elbow but Santos slips to the side and avoids it well. Santos is not content to let Alson control the position. Alson working the head and body with strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alson cracks Santos with a big right hand but Santos just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Alson lands an elbow. Alson wants to control for a moment but Santos uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. Alson is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Alson prevents Santos from improving his position. Santos looks gassed! Alson wants to pass the guard but Santos is defending well. Santos is trying to get back to full guard. Alson misses with a head shot. Santos uses the momentum to regain guard. Alson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Santos has momentary wrist control but Alson slips an elbow through the middle. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Santos thows a body shot but no joy. Alson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Santos moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Alson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Alson lands in his opponent's guard. Santos is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Santos wants to get back to his feet but Alson is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Santos is breathing heavily. Alson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Santos looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Santos looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Santos! Alson is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Alson tries to buck Santos off but Santos is having none of it. Alson manages to work his way to half guard, despite Santos's best efforts. Alson pushes Santos off looking to stand but Santos dives back in and keeps control.

Santos stands up and beckons Alson to join him on the feet. Alson shoots in for a double leg but Santos sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Alson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paul Alson. That's going to take a lot out of him. A nice combination there by Santos.

Alson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Santos circles away quickly and effectively. Santos connects with a right hand. Alson shakes it off. Alson fails with a takedown attempt. Santos throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Santos throws a head kick but Alson moves out of range.
Santos scores with a hook to the body. Alson takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Alson blocks a leg kick. Alson looks for a takedown but Santos sprawls well. Marlo Santos seems to be getting the better of the standup. Alson takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
That's four minutes gone in the round. Santos stalks Alson and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Alson's face. Alson staggers backwards, shaken. Alson comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Santos.

Santos lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Alson tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Alson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Santos moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Santos throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Alson slips under a jab. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Alson fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Santos has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. A jab lands there for Alson. Santos throws a hook to the side of Alson's head but Alson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Santos throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Marlo Santos will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Alson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. The strikes coming from Alson are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Santos is looking to regain half guard here but Alson keeps moving and retains side control. Alson creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Santos sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Alson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Santos has escaped the position, nice work there. Alson in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Santos gets back to half guard. Santos is looking to control Alson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Santos avoid being mounted? The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Santos avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Alson. Santos takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alson working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Santos's thigh. Santos counters though and makes it back to full guard. Alson trying to control the position from guard on top but Santos is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Paul Alson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Alson looking to pass the guard. Alson connects with a couple of short punches. Alson is working an open guard so Santos takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Alson throws an overhand right that lands on Santos's shoulder, as Santos tries to avoid the shot. Santos chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Alson can pounce on him.
Alson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Alson lands in his opponent's guard. Santos keeping full guard, as Alson tries to pass.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Alson throwing strikes but missing. Alson missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Alson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Alson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Santos keeping moving, preventing Alson from controlling successfully. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Alson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
