Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
16 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brad Charyak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brandy Culture!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Hugh Johnson and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Culture misses with the body kick
letting Charyak counter with a right hand.
Culture misses with a head kick.
Culture throws a sloppy head kick and Charyak moves out of range easily.
Charyak moves into the clinch.
Culture can't find room to land a body shot as Charyak controls the action.
Culture gets control of Charyak's arms and successfully pulls guard. Culture will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Charyak loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Culture doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Charyak is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Charyak trying to control but Culture is working from the bottom.
Charyak stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Culture swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Charyak stopping the sweep attempt from Culture.
Charyak pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Culture is keeping the position for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Culture being controlled here, momentarily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Culture looking for a sweep. Not yet Culture, not yet.
Brad Charyak has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Charyak smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Charyak lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Culture misses with a body kick.
Culture misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Charyak.
Culture fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Charyak manages to avoid it.
Culture thows a body shot but no joy.
Charyak fails with an attempt to clinch.
Culture misses with an attempted mid kick.
Culture throws a lazy right hand but Charyak sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Charyak closes the distance and clinches.
A short uppercut from Charyak.
Charyak lands a body shot in the clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Culture drops down looking for an ankle pick but Charyak pulls his leg out and moves away.
Culture misses with an uppercut. Charyak saw that one coming.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Culture throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Charyak counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Culture keeps the fight on the outside.
Culture throws a body punch but Charyak moves out of range.
Culture walks straight into a right hand from Charyak - that's dropped him! Charyak jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Culture from any more punishment! Culture complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Brad Charyak!
