Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Steve Fox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sir Boxalot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Steve Fox ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sir Boxalot! The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Konstantin Menshow and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Decent striking displayed by Boxalot there. Boxalot fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Fox manages to avoid it. A shot to the body from Boxalot misses and Fox makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Boxalot displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Fox . Boxalot connects with a nice looking jab.
Boxalot thuds a left hand into Fox 's body. Fox moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Boxalot fails in his attempt to clinch. Boxalot throws a lazy right hand but Fox sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Fox clinches up against the cage. Boxalot stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Fox tries for a takedown but Boxalot manages to get underhooks.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Fox has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Boxalot after a bit of a struggle. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Steve Fox . That's going to take a lot out of him. Fox swings away with an uppercut that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boxalot can't find room to land a body shot as Fox controls the action.
Fox jumps guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Boxalot won't allow Fox to sweep him here. Boxalot is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Boxalot slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Fox bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Boxalot's guard. Boxalot is adopting a defensive guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Boxalot can do anything to dispel that myth. Fox in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Sir Boxalot hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Nice defenses there by Fox . Fox will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Sir Boxalot seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Boxalot misses the shot to the body. Boxalot throws a predictable looking body shot
and Fox holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Fox goes for a takedown in the clinch but Boxalot prevents it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Fox is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Boxalot pulls him back up using the underhooks.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boxalot tries to break the clinch but Fox is controlling the position. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Boxalot. Boxalot gets through Fox 's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Boxalot pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Boxalot takes a swing at Fox 's ribcage but misses. Fox tries to close the distance and clinch up but Boxalot swats him away and circles back towards the center. Boxalot looks to land a right hand but Fox moved out of range. Fox shoots for a double leg takedown but Boxalot sprawls well. He's pushed Fox 's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Fox shoots for a takedown but Boxalot saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Fox is breathing heavily. Boxalot uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Boxalot has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Fox shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Boxalot as he avoids it easily. Boxalot throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Fox on the side of the head. Boxalot throws a series of punches but Fox avoids them all with ease. Boxalot listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Boxalot lands a really nice looking cross but Fox seems unphased.
Boxalot ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Boxalot wants to clinch up but Fox keeps it at a distance. Fox shoots for a takedown but Boxalot saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Boxalot throws a left and a right that both miss
and Fox counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Boxalot connects with a good right hand that stumbles Fox . Fox circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Boxalot catches Fox with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Boxalot works the jab nicely. A right-left combo lands from Boxalot. Nice sprawl there from Fox as Boxalot shoots in. Boxalot scores with a hook to the body. Fox takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Boxalot moves into range and clinches up with Fox . Boxalot lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Fox is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Boxalot is defending well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sir Boxalot dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Boxalot throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Boxalot throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Fox fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Boxalot avoids it really well and circles away. Fox keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Boxalot missing with a left hand there. Fox was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Fox keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Boxalot misses with a looping left. Fox tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Boxalot swivels and escapes. The crowd cheers as Boxalot lands an impressive looking overhand right. Fox doesn't seem phased though. Boxalot tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Fox manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Boxalot throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Fox on the side of the head. Fox looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Steve Fox . That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Boxalot wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Fox is defended easily by Boxalot. Boxalot missing with a left hand there. That's two minutes gone in the round. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Boxalot takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Fox can't break the clinch.

and Fox counters with a one-two to the body. Boxalot takes a swing at Fox 's ribcage but misses. Sir Boxalot seems to be getting the better of the standup. Boxalot works over Fox 's head and body with a nice combination. Boxalot tests Fox 's chin there with a solid looking shot. Sir Boxalot showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Boxalot thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Boxalot takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Boxalot throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Sir Boxalot. Boxalot stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Boxalot wants it to stay on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Steve Fox . That's going to take a lot out of him. Boxalot lands a right hook to the body.

Fox doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Boxalot connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Fox takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Boxalot lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Boxalot. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Fox 's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Boxalot connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Fox scrambles back to his feet. Boxalot looks to score with a jab to the body but Fox is just out of range. Steve Fox has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Boxalot lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
And that's the end of the fight! Sir Boxalot comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Boxalot has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
