Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Spray North (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hitoshi Igarashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
North feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
North passes Igarashi's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
North has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

North throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Igarashi's waist but Igarashi gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing North off to one side.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Igarashi controls North momentarily but North frees himself.
North could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
North drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Igarashi dives on top into guard.

North isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Igarashi stacks North on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Igarashi!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for North, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
