Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dominick Cruise!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kenny Florendo!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Cecil Peabody and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Florendo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cruise's waist but Cruise gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Florendo off to one side.
Cruise rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Florendo moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Cruise rushes Florendo and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Cruise throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Florendos head.
Florendo has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Cruise uses from the top position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cruise wants to control from the top but Florendo keeps moving.
Florendo looking for a sweep. Not yet Florendo, not yet.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Cruise defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Florendo.
Cruise scores with a three punch combo!
Florendo is rocked!
Cruise misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Florendo is still on wobbly legs! Can Cruise finish him?
That's one minute gone in the round.
Florendo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cruise is fending him off so far but Florendo persists. Nope, Cruise circles away and we're back to standing.
Dominick Cruise has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kenny Florendo.
Cruise throws a nice looking combination but Florendo bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Cruise clinches.
Florendo jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Cruise walks away with a smile on his face. Florendo gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Florendo moves into the clinch successfully.
Florendo is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Cruise is defending well.
Cruise throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Florendos head.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Cruise lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Cruise managing to block the knees to the body from Florendo.
Cruise lands a right hand that snaps the head of Florendo backwards.
Florendo wants a takedown.
Florendo looks gassed!
Florendo trying to control the position but instead, Cruise has worked for underhooks and has pushed Florendo into the cage.
Still in the clinch, Cruise scores with a nice short uppercut.
Cruise lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Florendo.
Cruise pushes Florendo back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Cruise lands with a light punch inside.
Florendo tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Cruise just stands there and leans against the cage.
Cruise scores with a nice hook to the head.
Cruise controlling the action here for a moment.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Florendo fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Florendo changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Cruise fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Cruise steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Florendo is out on his feet! Cruise sets himself and nearly takes Florendo's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
