The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Greville Griffiths rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Pozzollo moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Greville Griffiths throws a right and a left that Pozzollo avoids nicely.

and Pozzollo decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Greville Griffiths's guard.

Pozzollo is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Greville Griffiths can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Pozzollo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Greville Griffiths tries to avoid it but Pozzollo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Greville Griffiths to the ground. Greville Griffiths escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

A determined Marian Pozzollo didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
