Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joaqim Masters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Weicikilla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dave Weicikilla!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Bruno Lombardi and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Masters scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Weicikilla looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Weicikilla tries to roll over but Masters keeps him under control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Weicikilla gets full guard.
Weicikilla keeping full guard, as Masters tries to pass.
Masters gets to his feet - Weicikilla follows without any prompting.
Weicikilla with a poor takedown
and Masters counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Weicikilla's guard now.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Weicikilla is on top in guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Weicikilla stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Masters swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Weicikilla passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Weicikilla tries to move to mount but Masters blocks the move with his legs.
Masters is looking for a sweep.

Weicikilla throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Masters works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
Masters on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Masters tries to get out of the position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Masters regains full guard. Nicely done.
Weicikilla looking to pass the guard.
Masters wants to stand and escape but Weicikilla is having none of it.
Weicikilla looking to pass the guard.
Masters is looking for a triangle here but Weicikilla uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Masters is breathing heavily.
Weicikilla has hold of Masters's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Masters seems comfortable defending it but Weicikilla has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Masters is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Masters is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Weicikilla couldn't care less - he's delighted!
