Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mr Maroon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luc Deveraux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maroon comes to the cage accompanied by yes. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deveraux throws a head kick but Maroon moves out of range.
Deveraux misses with a low kick as Maroon jumps back.

Deveraux gets caught flat footed, as Maroon shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Maroon is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Maroon stands up over Deveraux, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Maroon passes Deveraux's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Maroon lands a big shot there that rocks Deveraux but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

It looks like Luc Deveraux has been cut.
Maroon lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Deveraux really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Maroon. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Deveraux is in a horrible position here. Maroon smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Maroon postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Deveraux badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Maroon around the waist but Maroon pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Maroon is the winner by TKO! Maroon jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
