Diggins comes into the arena with Bonfire blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pereira Jr darts in trying to clinch
and Diggins counters by moving into the clinch.

Pereira Jr has had enough of the clinch but Diggins keeps him there for the moment.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Diggins for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Diggins fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Pereira Jr, pushing him back against the cage.

A head kick by Diggins - that's a beauty! Pereira Jr is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Diggins can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!

After the fight, Franklin Diggins was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
