Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Franklin Diggins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucas Pereira Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diggins comes into the arena with Bonfire blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Franklin Diggins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lucas Pereira Jr! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Chad Campbell and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pereira Jr darts in trying to clinch and Diggins counters by moving into the clinch. Diggins working Pereira Jr over with knees to the body. Diggins dodges an elbow strike from Pereira Jr.
Pereira Jr has had enough of the clinch but Diggins keeps him there for the moment. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Diggins prevents Pereira Jr from breaking the clinch. Pereira Jr is trying to break the clinch but Diggins is controlling him. Diggins crunches a lovely knee into Pereira Jr's ribcage. Pereira Jr trying to control the position but instead, Diggins has worked for underhooks and has pushed Pereira Jr into the cage. Pereira Jr has had enough of the clinch but Diggins keeps him there for the moment. Diggins stalling the fight.
Pereira Jr is trying to break the clinch but Diggins is controlling him. Pereira Jr wants to break the clinch but can't.

That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Diggins working Pereira Jr over with knees to the body. Pereira Jr throws an elbow that misses.
Pereira Jr looking to slow down the pace here. Pereira Jr is trying to push Diggins away but Diggins has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Pereira Jr is trying to break the clinch but Diggins has him pressed against the cage. Pereira Jr is trying to force a seperation but Diggins has the dominant position. Pereira Jr throws an elbow but it misses.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Diggins takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Pereira Jr wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Diggins lands a good knee to the midsection. Pereira Jr won't want to take too many of those. Pereira Jr looks gassed! Diggins will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Pereira Jr up against the cage. Diggins working Pereira Jr over with knees to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Diggins is struggling to control the position. This has been an exciting period of action! The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Diggins for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure. Pereira Jr taking a breather. A bit of stalling here from Diggins.
Diggins gets a warning from the ref for wasting time. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Franklin Diggins. Diggins lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Diggins takes the fight into the clinch. Diggins breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Pereira Jr tries to grapple but his opponent circles and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Diggins fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Pereira Jr, pushing him back against the cage. Diggins stalling the fight.
Diggins crunches a lovely knee into Pereira Jr's ribcage. Diggins stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Diggins will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Pereira Jr up against the cage. Pereira Jr takes a knee right on the jaw!
Diggins dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Diggins obliges. Diggins just leaning against Pereira Jr, taking a breather. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Franklin Diggins. A head kick by Diggins - that's a beauty! Pereira Jr is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Diggins can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Franklin Diggins! After the fight, Franklin Diggins was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
