Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nathan DAngelo! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! DAngelo fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. prevost darts in and out, connecting with a jab. prevost slips a straight right by DAngelo. DAngelo misses with a double jab.
DAngelo misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
prevost shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in DAngelo's guard. DAngelo looking to sweep here. No luck so far. prevost postures up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. prevost feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. DAngelo wants to get back to his feet but prevost is in a dominant position and won't allow it. DAngelo looking for a sweep. Not yet DAngelo, not yet. prevost stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. DAngelo swivels though and keeps the full guard. prevost drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and prevost jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. prevost is breathing heavily. prevost trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. DAngelo controls prevost momentarily but prevost frees himself.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. DAngelo shoots and misses and prevost counters with a takedown into side control. DAngelo struggling a bit here. prevost wants to lay and pray for a moment but DAngelo keeps working. DAngelo is trying to control prevost's posture but prevost avoids it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. DAngelo is looking to reverse the position. DAngelo can't do much from the bottom here. prevost wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by DAngelo, who protects the arm well. DAngelo stops prevost from passing to mount.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. DAngelo with a poor takedown and prevost counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. ryan prevost has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nathan DAngelo. DAngelo keeping moving, preventing prevost from controlling successfully. DAngelo looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. DAngelo defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. prevost has hold of DAngelo's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and DAngelo manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
prevost is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, DAngelo has managed to escape the submission attempt.

prevost landing strikes from the mount. prevost manages to capitalize on a mistake by DAngelo to take his back! prevost trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure DAngelo doesn't escape. prevost tries to keep control of the position but DAngelo is staying busy. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. DAngelo is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. prevost looking for the choke from the back. prevost doesn't have the hooks in and DAngelo manages to turn into his guard.
DAngelo must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. DAngelo wants to pass the guard but prevost is keeping the position.

DAngelo is fighting to break prevost's control of his arms but prevost is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. prevost escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar.
