Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Falcon Sackett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and CId Pollendina (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sackett comes to the cage accompanied by I'm Awesome. CId Pollendina acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Falcon Sackett!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, CId Pollendina!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Wesley Smith and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pollendina scores with a jab to the jaw.
Sackett throws a leg kick but Pollendina sees it coming and moves out of range.
Pollendina looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Pollendina drops his hands momentarily and Sackett takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Sackett avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Sackett throws a hook to the side of Pollendina's head but Pollendina sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
CId Pollendina seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Pollendina bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Sackett manages to work his way to half guard, despite Pollendina's best efforts.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pollendina prevents Sackett from improving his position.
Pollendina is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Sackett desperately trying to maintain half guard.

Pollendina working over Sackett with some ground and pound. Sackett looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Pollendina throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Pollendina wants to free his trapped foot but Sackett is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Pollendina perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Pollendina is keen to just control but Sackett is a slippery customer.
Pollendina has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. CId Pollendina wasn't active enough on the ground.
A jab lands there for Pollendina.
Pollendina throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Good work by Pollendina as he checks the leg kick.

Sackett throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
A slow jab from Pollendina misses its intended target.
Sackett misses with a low kick.
Pollendina misses with a hook to the body
and Sackett cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Sackett throws a hook but Pollendina avoids it easily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sackett closes the distance but Pollendina moves to the side
and Pollendina counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Pollendina bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Sackett gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Sackett dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
A punch lands to the side of Sackett 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Nice cross by Sackett.
Sackett moves out of range of the strikes.
Sackett throws a head kick but Pollendina moves out of range.
Sackett tried to score with a low kick but Pollendina checks it.
Sackett tries to clinch there but Pollendina circles away.
Pollendina digs a good hook to Sackett's body.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A nice combination there by Pollendina.
A solid leg kick lands there for Sackett.
Sackett takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Pollendina walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Pollendina shoots in looking for a takedown. Sackett tries to sprawl out of it but Pollendina keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sackett manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Sackett's corner calls for a 1-2. Sackett obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Pollendina lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Pollendina.

Pollendina closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Pollendina misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Sackett tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Pollendina wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Pollendina scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Sackett to see if he's OK.
Sackett is trying to control Pollendina's posture but Pollendina avoids it.
Pollendina trying to control the position but Sackett is working away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Pollendina controlling the position.
Pollendina is looking to take a break and control but Sackett is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Pollendina looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Sackett is avoiding damage well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

CId Pollendina dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Pollendina bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Pollendina.
Sackett is trying to improve his position.

Sackett is looking to regain half guard here but Pollendina keeps moving and retains side control.
Pollendina is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Sackett's shoulder. That is not cool.
Sackett manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Sackett tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Pollendina.

Pollendina tries to roll over but Sackett keeps him under control.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Sackett lands a nice short elbow.
Sackett tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Sackett is thwarting Pollendina's attempts to control the position.

Pollendina is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Sackett pulls his head out easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sackett is keen to just control but Pollendina is a slippery customer.
It looks like Sackett is going to stand back up.

Pollendina has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Sackett. Oh but Pollendina has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Sackett goes limp - he's gone! Pollendina jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
