Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ron Burgundy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daws Berrera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Berrera's choice of entrance music: High School Gym. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Daws Berrera was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Berrera throws a head kick that misses. Berrera misses with a series of wild punches.
Burgundy throws a jab when Berrera was well out of range. A combination from Berrera does no damage. Berrera lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
It looks like Ron Burgundy has been cut. Burgundy works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Berrera throws a head kick but Burgundy moves out of range.

Burgundy gets a double leg takedown into Berrera's guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Burgundy stops Berrera from standing up. Burgundy trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Burgundy passes Berrera's right leg, so he's now in half guard. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Burgundy looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Berrera with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Berrera looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
That's one minute gone in the round. Berrera wants to get back to full guard. Berrera regains full guard. Nicely done. Burgundy postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Berrera avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Berrera looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Burgundy working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Berrera's head. Berrera working a defensive guard here.
