The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kimura fails with a takedown attempt.
Kimura takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
It looks like Helio Kimura has been cut.
Proof slaps away a takedown attempt from Kimura, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Kimura tries to score a power double leg takedown but Proof sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kimura somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Helio Kimura. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Proof ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kimura moves away.
Kimura needs to keep his hands up - Proof had a free shot at his head there.
Kimura takes a shot right to the bread basket.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Proof lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Proof.

Nice straight punches there by Proof. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Proof.
Nice defenses there by Kimura.
Proof drops Kimura with a nice combination! Proof dives into Kimura's guard, looking to finish!
Helio Kimura's cut is getting worse.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Kimura is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Proof is aware though and is defending well.
Kimura looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Proof would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Proof is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Proof got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kimura has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Proof has managed to get both his arms back between Kimura's legs - danger averted.

Kimura is trying to keep Proof in close.
Proof wants to stand but Kimura has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Kimura looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Proof has picked Kimura up and slammed him! Kimura can't keep hold of the triangle and Proof manages to pass to side control!
Proof decides to stand back up.
Proof jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Kimura looks for a takedown but Proof sprawls well.
Kimura slips a jab from Proof.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kimura shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Proof's guard.
Proof wants to get back to his feet but Kimura is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Kimura lands a couple of digs.
Kimura is looking to advance position but Proof has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Proof gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Kimura shoots in for a takedown but Proof shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Proof swings for the body but Kimura moves out of range.
Kimura bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Kimura gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Helio Kimura's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A combination from Proof does no damage.

Proof smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Proof misses the shot to the body.
Proof misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Proof wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Proof comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Kimura is breathing heavily.
Proof works over Kimura's head and body with a nice combination.
Jeez, Helio Kimura's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Helio Kimura's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
