Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Urijah Samuel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Winnipeg Manitoba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Urijah Samuel could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Winnipeg Manitoba's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Urijah Samuel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Winnipeg Manitoba!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Elvis Blanc and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manitoba looks for a takedown but Samuel sprawls well.
Samuel misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Manitoba bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Samuel sneaks back into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Samuel tries to roll over but Manitoba keeps him under control.
Manitoba controlling the action here.

Manitoba is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Samuel wants to improve his position but Manitoba is controlling well.

Manitoba seems to be working for a kimura but Samuel defends the submission attempt.

Samuel drops back looking for a leg! Manitoba is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Manitoba manages to kick Samuel off! Samuel jumps back into Manitoba's guard.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Samuel throws a series of punches but Manitoba avoids them all with ease.

Samuel keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Samuel stalks Manitoba and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Manitoba's face. Manitoba staggers backwards, shaken.
Samuel displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Manitoba.

Manitoba stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Samuel swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Samuel is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Samuel is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Samuel is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Manitoba doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Samuel.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Manitoba can do anything to dispel that myth.

Manitoba really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Samuel. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Manitoba doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Manitoba working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Samuel doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Samuel manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Manitoba is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Samuel defends well.

That was a close second round but I would say that Urijah Samuel will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Samuel is keen to just control but Manitoba is a slippery customer.
Manitoba is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Samuel's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Samuel's back!

Manitoba is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Samuel defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Urijah Samuel.
I think Samuel has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
