Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lath Hoy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richie Yang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hoy comes to the cage accompanied by Go Ninja-Vanilla Ice. Lath Hoy could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Richie Yang's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
19 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lath Hoy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Richie Yang! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Eliza Hachem and Winston Howard.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yang shoots and misses
and Hoy counters with a nice double leg into guard. Hoy will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Hoy engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Hoy tries to free his leg and advance position but Yang is retaining full guard. Hoy trying to control but Yang is working from the bottom.
Yang is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hoy defends well. Yang keeping moving, preventing Hoy from controlling successfully. Hoy has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Hoy is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Hoy trying to control the position from guard on top but Yang is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Yang has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hoy can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Yang is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Hoy is looking to advance position but Yang won't allow it.

Hoy thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Yang is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Hoy's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Hoy controlling the action here. Hoy is looking to advance position but Yang won't allow it.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Hoy is keen to just control but Yang is a slippery customer. Hoy looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Hoy lands strikes from half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Lath Hoy dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Hoy gets a double leg takedown into Yang's guard. Hoy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Yang swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Yang working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hoy doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hoy manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Hoy works over Yang with some ground and pound from guard. Hoy slips nicely into half guard.
Yang actively working from the bottom here. Hoy looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Yang is in trouble now - Hoy has advanced to mount!

Hoy wants to finish this one by submission but Yang is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Hoy. Hoy moves to the back.
Hoy looking for the choke but no joy. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Yang tries to roll but Hoy sticks to his back.

Hoy is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Hoy doesn't have the hooks in and Yang manages to turn into his guard.
Yang trying to control the position from guard on top but Hoy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Yang won't allow Hoy to sweep him here. Hoy not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

 The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Richie Yang. Hoy ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Yang misses with a takedown and Hoy counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Yang is breathing heavily. Hoy stuffs the takedown attempt from Yang. Yang gets slowly back to his feet. Hoy pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Yang back to the cage. Hoy follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Yang with a poor takedown and Hoy counters with a lovely shot to the body. Lath Hoy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Richie Yang. Hoy scores with a shot to the body.
Good standup being displayed there by Hoy as he connects with a hook. Hoy lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Hoy lands a nice looking body shot.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Hoy ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Hoy cracks Yang with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Hoy scores a takedown into full mount! Hoy in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Yang is just holding on here. Hoy manages to take his back.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Hoy has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Yang doesn't defend quickly enough and Hoy has managed to lock this one up! Can Yang escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Hoy on a fantastic submission victory.
