Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mike Lumpus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pirre Pikkarainen!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lumpus looks to score with a jab to the body but Pikkarainen is just out of range.
Pikkarainen looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Lumpus throws a right and a left that Pikkarainen avoids nicely.
Pikkarainen with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Lumpus to score with a decent uppercut.
Lumpus misses with a double jab
and Pikkarainen counters by moving into the clinch.
Pikkarainen wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Lumpus is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Pikkarainen gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Lumpus wants the takedown. Pikkarainen is fighting it off but Lumpus persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Pikkarainen's guard against the cage.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Lumpus is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Pikkarainen still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Pikkarainen has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Lumpus manages to get back to half guard.
Lumpus is doing well to control the position and prevent Pikkarainen from advancing to side control.

Pikkarainen tries to stand but can't do so whilst Lumpus controls his leg.

Lumpus manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Lumpus cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Pikkarainen is still in real trouble! Can Lumpus finish him?
Oooooh, big shot lands for Lumpus! Pikkarainen is hurt baaadly! Lumpus is firing away with more strikes - Pikkarainen is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
