Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Crier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Siegel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Crier kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Red Hot Chili Peppers - Get On Top. Siegel is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by No Ceiling. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johnny Crier! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jack Siegel! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Stewart Dunkirk and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown by Crier or perhaps it was just good defense by Siegel which made him look bad. Crier tries to score a power double leg takedown but Siegel sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Crier somewhat. Siegel misses the jab. Siegel ducks under a wild hook from Crier. Crier on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Siegel throws out a powerful jab. Crier lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Siegel tries to close the distance and clinch up but Crier swats him away and circles back towards the center. Crier missing with a left hand there. Siegel was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Siegel blocks a jab. Crier with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Siegel to score with a decent uppercut. Siegel tests Crier's chin there with a solid looking shot. Siegel tries to move into range but Crier moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Siegel ducks down and throws a hook to the body. This has been an exciting period of action! Siegel keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Siegel lands with a straight right. Crier didn't see that one coming. Crier avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Siegel dips down and scores with a jab to the body. A looping hook to the body misses from Crier. Siegel does a little dance to reset his feet. Siegel swinging wildly here.
Siegel staying out of range there. Siegel thuds his right hand into Crier's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. A big left from Siegel misses. Nice shot by Siegel. Crier decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Crier lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Siegel keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Siegel is looking for a sweep. Crier is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Crier is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Siegel has hold of Crier's hands but Crier slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Siegel is looking for a sweep. Crier is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Siegel moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Crier throws an elbow that misses. Siegel uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Crier's guard. Nice move by Siegel! Siegel throwing strikes from guard but Crier blocks nicely. Siegel pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Crier is keeping the position for now. Siegel won't allow Crier to sweep him here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crier keeping full guard, as Siegel tries to pass. Siegel is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Siegel wants to stand but Crier is controlling his posture from full guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Siegel stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Crier swivels though and keeps the full guard. Crier keeping moving, preventing Siegel from controlling successfully. Crier seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Siegel throws a leg kick but Crier sees it coming and moves out of range. Siegel throws a shot from downtown. Crier moves away and avoids it. Jack Siegel is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Crier swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Crier fails with a takedown attempt from distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johnny Crier. That's going to take a lot out of him. Crier lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Siegel throws a series of punches but Crier moves out of range. Siegel throws the left hand but Crier avoids the punch easily. Siegel lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Siegel. Siegel steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Crier. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Siegel!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Siegel lands a right hand. Siegel doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Crier throws a punch but it's blocked by Siegel. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jack Siegel dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Crier displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Siegel throws out the jab. Siegel might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. The fight stays on the outside here - Siegel looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Siegel throws a body punch but Crier moves out of range. Crier swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Siegel lands a glancing blow to the side of Crier's head. Crier takes one to the side of the head.
Siegel blocks a jab. Siegel connects with a nice looking jab.
Crier fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Siegel cracks Crier with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Crier changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Siegel tries to avoid it but Crier manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Siegel to the ground. Siegel escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Siegel is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Crier. Crier takes one to the side of the head.
Siegel lands a lovely overhand right. Siegel throws a looping overhand right but Crier ducks down to avoid it. Crier shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Crier throws a big right hand that misses. Crier with a flurry of punches that miss. Crier scoring with some ground and pound. Siegel tries to land a sweep but no joy. Siegel bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Crier's guard. Johnny Crier overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Siegel trying to control the position from guard on top but Crier is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Crier avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Siegel trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Siegel wants to control from the top but Crier keeps moving.

He's being very persistent here but Crier manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Siegel looking for a sweep. Not yet Siegel, not yet. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Siegel accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Siegel trying to control but Crier is working from the bottom. Crier looking to hit a scissor sweep but Siegel is one step ahead there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Siegel looking to sit in guard and control but Crier gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Siegel trying to control the position.
Crier working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Siegel bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Crier's guard. Siegel loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jack Siegel showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Crier's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Siegel is staying active underneath Crier, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Siegel tries to get to full guard but Crier has control of the leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are battling for position here. Siegel manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Siegel throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Crier with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Siegel is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Crier's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Crier trying to control but Siegel is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crier missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Siegel looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Siegel manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Crier manages to get himself to full guard.
Siegel takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Siegel throwing strikes but missing. Crier working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Siegel. Siegel throws a big elbow that misses. Crier tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Crier is working hard here to advance position. Siegel wants to pass the guard but Crier is keeping the position. Siegel throwing strikes but missing. Siegel trying to control but Crier is working from the bottom. Jack Siegel is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Siegel has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Crier is proving hard to escape from. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Siegel is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Johnny Crier has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

And that's the end of the fight! Jack Siegel comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Siegel has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
