Monster has chosen Cookie Monster Eating Cookie as his entrance music. Cookie Monster has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Mike Mackey's chin.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monster throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Monster throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Mackey sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Mackey tries to land a front kick but Monster steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Monster takes a swing at Mackey's ribcage but misses.
Mackey lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Mackey misses with a body shot.
Mackey feints and then cracks Monster's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Monster down.
Monster throws a hook but Mackey blocks it.
Mackey takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Monster throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Mackey is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Mackey sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Monster's guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mackey accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Mackey wants to lay and pray for a moment but Monster keeps working.
Mackey is trying to ground and pound but Monster uses the momentary lack of control by Mackey to regain half guard.
Mackey looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Mackey trying to mount his opponent but Monster defends it.
Mackey sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Monster defending well though.
Mackey has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Monster won't allow Mackey to pass to mount.
Mackey is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Monster is just riding it out for now. Mackey eventually gives up the hold.
Mackey seems to be working for a kimura but Monster defends the submission attempt.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Monster lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Mackey looks to land a body kick but Monster moved away.
Mackey lands with a nice body kick.
Monster connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Mackey momentarily.
Mackey dives in and grabs Monster's left leg, looking for a takedown. Monster pushes down on Mackey's head and hops out.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Monster checks a leg kick.
Monster dips to his left and cracks Mackey with an uppercut!
Monster fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Mackey throws a push kick but Monster slaps the foot to one side.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Monster moves out of range of the strikes.

Cookie Monster showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Oooooh!!! Monster has knocked Mackey down with a huge combo! Monster steps away and waves a wobbly Mackey back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Oh Mackey is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Monster scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
A looping hook to the body misses from Monster. Mackey does a little dance to reset his feet.
Monster cracks Mackey with an open hand slap.
Monster feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Mackey sprawling to the canvas! Mackey rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Monster finish him?!

Monster scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Mackey doesn't seem bothered though.
Monster lands a slapping body shot.
Mackey gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Monster gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cookie Monster!
Cookie Monster is the new light heavyweight champion!
Cookie Monster really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Perkele! logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
