Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fred Perry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ash Yeo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fred Perry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ash Yeo!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yeo fails to land the takedown.

Yeo shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Perry's guard.
Yeo trying to control the position from guard on top but Perry is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Yeo pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Perry is keeping the position for now.

Perry has his feet on Yeo's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Perry gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Yeo counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Yeo.
Perry is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Yeo gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Yeo manages to break the clinch.

Perry bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Perry is breathing heavily.
Perry trying to control the action but Yeo is working from the bottom.
Yeo is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Perry looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Yeo pushes Perry away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Perry gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Perry moves into full mount!
Yeo is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Yeo wants to control but Perry is having none of it.
Perry breaks from Yeo's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Perry with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Yeo is working to get back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Perry working for a submission but Yeo is keeping him at bay.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Perry gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Perry has his takedown stuffed
and Yeo cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fred Perry. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Perry tries for a takedown but Yeo circles away easily

and Yeo counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Yeo decides to stand up.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Yeo changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Perry looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Perry is not content to let Yeo control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Yeo has knee on belly and moves into mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Yeo tries to control but Perry wriggling away.
Perry tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Yeo tries to control but Perry wriggling away.
Perry tries to reverse the position but Yeo maintains control.
Perry's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Perry slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Perry pushes Yeo off but Yeo dives into side control.
Yeo working away.
Perry is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Yeo's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Yeo looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Perry is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Yeo's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Yeo's back!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Yeo turns into Perry and is now in his guard.

Yeo avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Yeo preventing the sweep.
Yeo is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Yeo pushing down on Perry's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Yeo content to control rather than advance.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Perry is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Yeo's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Yeo's back!

Perry working for a choke but Yeo is defending well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Ash Yeo will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Nice sprawl there from Yeo as Perry shoots in.
Perry with a poor takedown
and Yeo counters with a head kick. That will keep Perry thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Yeo closes the distance and clinches.

Yeo manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Yeo wants to sweep here but Perry controlling him for the moment.
Yeo is trying to control the position but Perry postures up.

Perry drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Perry jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Yeo is looking for a triangle but Perry pushes his legs off easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Perry stands and steps away. Yeo gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Yeo circles away from the clinch attempt

and Yeo counters by moving into the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Perry misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Yeo.

Perry has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Yeo uses from the top position.

Perry is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Yeo rolls with it to try and escape but Perry cranks on the arm and Yeo is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
