The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Edson Gomes and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Degas shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Faria's guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Degas tries to stand but Faria is controlling from the bottom.
Faria has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Degas can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Degas would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Faria is looking for a triangle but Degas pushes his legs off easily.
Degas postures up and lands a big shot to Faria's brow.

Degas stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Faria swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Faria looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Degas is defending well. Faria quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Degas has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Faria celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
