The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silver scores with a shot to the body.
Silver pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Silver fails with the takedown.
Silver misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Silver blocks a jab.
Silver walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Reese cracks the inside of Silver's front leg.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Reese lands a right hook to the body.
Reese moves out of range of the strikes.
Reese throws a body punch but Silver moves out of range.
Reese throws a shot to the body.
Silver looks gassed!
Reese throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Reese lands a right hook to the body.
Reese cracks Silver with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Reese has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Silver to stand back up!
Silver is rocked!
It looks like John Silver has been cut.
Silver glances at the clock... BAM! Reese nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Silver crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Silver is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). David Reese!
