Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lance Genova (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andreas Heinze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lance Genova! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Andreas Heinze! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Trevor Gratis and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Heinze moves into the clinch. Heinze keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Genova's efforts to push away. Genova is trying to drag Heinze to the mat but Heinze just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Genova looking to stall.
Heinze gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Heinze throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Heinze with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Heinze is thwarting Genova's attempts to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Heinze is looking to advance position but Genova won't allow it. Genova is trying to get back to full guard. Genova looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Heinze stalling. Heinze is looking to advance position but Genova won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Heinze looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Andreas Heinze hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Heinze changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Genova looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Genova can't do much from the bottom here. Heinze stands up. Heinze keeps the fight on the outside. Genova fails to land the takedown. Heinze stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Heinze wants it to stay on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lance Genova. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Heinze closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Heinze breaks from the clinch.
Heinze feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Genova is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Heinze trying to control but Genova is working from the bottom. Heinze engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Heinze works over Genova with some ground and pound from guard. Genova working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Heinze doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Heinze manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Genova keeping moving, preventing Heinze from controlling successfully. Heinze really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Genova. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Heinze landing some decent shots from guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Heinze sitting in guard here, content to control. Heinze stopping the sweep attempt from Genova. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Heinze engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andreas Heinze dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Genova shoots for a takedown but Heinze saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Genova fails with the takedown and Heinze counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Heinze. Heinze has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Genova is trying to keep an underhook but Heinze manages to get the takedown into half guard. Genova is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Heinze's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Heinze's back! Heinze covering up well under a series of strikes from Genova. Will Genova go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Genova is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Heinze has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Genova has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Heinze taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Genova doesn't care though - he's delighted!
