The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Mauricio Rocha and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jitsu shoots and misses
and Dameshek counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Jitsu is trying to keep Dameshek in close.
Jitsu keeping full guard, as Dameshek tries to pass.
Dameshek is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Jitsu keeping moving, preventing Dameshek from controlling successfully.
Jitsu has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dameshek can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Jitsu is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Dameshek defends well.
Jitsu has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Dameshek has passed into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Dameshek trying to control the position but Jitsu is working away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dameshek has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Jitsu is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Dameshek yanks on the arm and Jitsu is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Dameshek.
