Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Geldof (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adrian Davidson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Bob Geldof! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Adrian Davidson! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Daniel Bishop and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Geldof misses with a wild combination.
Davidson looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Geldof tries to clinch but Davidson moves out of range. Davidson takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
The fight stays on the outside here - Geldof looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Geldof shoots in but Davidson avoids the takedown attempt easily. Davidson has a takedown stuffed. Geldof looks to land a combination but Davidson avoids it well. A decent looking body kick lands there for Geldof. Geldof scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Geldof stands up and beckons Davidson to his feet.

Geldof wants to pass to mount but Davidson is defending the position. Geldof looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Davidson tries to kick Geldof off but Geldof keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Geldof controlling the pace. Geldof has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Bob Geldof. Geldof stuffs the takedown attempt from Davidson. Davidson gets slowly back to his feet. Davidson has a takedown stuffed. Bob Geldof has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adrian Davidson. Geldof moves into range and clinches up with Davidson. Geldof has Davidson pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Geldof pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Davidson tumbling to the mat - Geldof dives into Davidson's guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Geldof is in close to Davidson's body, working some short punches and elbows. Geldof content to stall in guard here. Geldof has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Davidson wants to get back to his feet but Geldof is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Geldof is stalling in the full guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Bob Geldof just wasn't active enough. Geldof takes the fight into the clinch. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Geldof is struggling to control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Geldof slaps away a takedown attempt from Davidson, before circling back to the center of the mat. Bob Geldof has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adrian Davidson. Geldof instigates a clinch. Geldof pulls Davidson into guard.
Davidson stops Geldof from standing up. Geldof working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Davidson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Davidson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Geldof is pulling down on Davidson's head. It's preventing any offense from Davidson, at least for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Geldof keeping full guard, as Davidson tries to pass. Geldof had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Davidson defends it easily. Davidson would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davidson trying to control the position from guard on top but Geldof is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Geldof manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Davidson manages to get himself to full guard.
Bob Geldof overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Davidson wants to get back to his feet but Geldof is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Geldof's corner is telling him to maintain position. Geldof won't allow Davidson to get back to his feet.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Geldof fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Davidson shoots in for a takedown but Geldof shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. The fight moves into the clinch position. Davidson is working for takedown but Geldof is calmly controlling the position for now. Geldof's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Geldof looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Geldof looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Both fighters are breathing heavily. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Geldof seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Davidson for as long as he can get away with.

We're going to have a standup here because Bob Geldof wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Geldof shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Davidson as he jumps to the side. Geldof lands with a kick to the temple. Davidson shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Geldof pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Davidson back to the cage. Geldof follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Geldof uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Davidson. Geldof fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Davidson shoots in for a takedown but Geldof shows good takedown defense. Davidson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Geldof's waist but Geldof gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Davidson off to one side. Bob Geldof has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adrian Davidson.

Davidson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Geldof down to the mat. Geldof avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Geldof drives through with a takedown into guard. Davidson is looking to stand up but Geldof isn't so interested in that idea. Davidson seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Geldof advances to half guard. Davidson kicks Geldof off and gets back to his feet. Davidson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Davidson throws a right hand that Geldof ducks under and follows up with a left that Geldof also avoids with ease. Geldof leaves Davidson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Adrian Davidson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Excellent takedown into side control there by Geldof. Davidson bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Davidson is looking to clinch but Geldof is avoiding it.

Is there anything that Davidson can do to turn this around? Davidson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Geldof pinned against the cage. Geldof gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Geldof closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Davidson's guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Bob Geldof showed his dominance in that final round. Well Geldof has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
