Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Nasri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Desi Venetiaan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Frank Nasri! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Desi Venetiaan! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Robert Douchet and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A momentary lapse in concentration from Venetiaan enables Nasri to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Venetiaan manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Venetiaan is on top in guard.

Nasri can't keep his opponent in guard - Venetiaan advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Venetiaan keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Venetiaan stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Venetiaan rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Nasri moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Venetiaan connects with a body shot that sends Nasri's belly button to the back. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A head kick misses from Venetiaan. Nasri misses with a jab, cross combination.
Venetiaan throws a one two combo.
It looks like Frank Nasri has been cut. Nasri darts in and clinches Venetiaan up against the cage. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Nasri.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nasri lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Venetiaan is looking to control Nasri's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Venetiaan avoid being mounted? Venetiaan moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Venetiaan wriggles free and stands up. Nice uppercut there from Venetiaan. Venetiaan misses with a double jab.
Nasri swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Venetiaan fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Nasri is breathing heavily. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Venetiaan paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Nasri walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Frank Nasri's cut is getting worse. Venetiaan connects with a body shot. Venetiaan throws a left that rocks Nasri and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Venetiaan dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Nasri regain composure!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Nasri is trying to escape the position but Venetiaan is controlling the position. Oh Nasri is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Venetiaan decides to stand back up. Nasri seems to have got his legs back now. Venetiaan jabs at Nasri's body. Nasri drives through with a takedown into guard. Venetiaan has his hands on Nasri's head, controlling the position. Nasri has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Venetiaan is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Venetiaan with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Venetiaan's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's three minutes gone in the round. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Venetiaan is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Nasri sees it coming and defends easily. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Venetiaan in particular looking to stall.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Desi Venetiaan was stalling too much, according to the referee. Nasri drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Venetiaan can do anything to dispel that myth. Venetiaan manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Nasri wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Venetiaan slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
That's four minutes gone in the round. It looks like Venetiaan might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Venetiaan gets his hands free as Nasri looks to control. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Venetiaan just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Desi Venetiaan. Venetiaan fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Nasri looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Venetiaan drops Nasri with a right and a left! Venetiaan comes rushing in but Nasri regains his composure and manages to keep Venetiaan in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Desi Venetiaan dominated that round. The cut man is working on Frank Nasri's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Frank Nasri's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Frank Nasri's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:09 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Desi Venetiaan!
