Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Coach (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alejandro Zapata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zapata has chosen Tres Delinquentes as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, James Coach! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alejandro Zapata! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, William Peck and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Coach throws the kick towards the body but Zapata avoids it. The fighters circle momentarily. Coach darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Coach moves away from the strike by Zapata. Coach listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Coach digs a good hook to Zapata's body.
Zapata tries to move into range but Coach moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Coach tests Zapata's chin there with a solid looking shot. Coach moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Coach takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Zapata checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Coach keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Zapata jabbing away but nothing is landing. Zapata lands with a slapping head kick. Coach thows a left - swing and a miss!
That's one minute gone in the round. Coach connects with a body shot. Zapata looks to score with a jab to the body but Coach is just out of range. Zapata keeps the fight on the outside. A slapping body kick lands there for Coach. Zapata doesn't manage to clinch there - Coach circles away.
Coach tries to close the distance and clinch up but Zapata swats him away and circles back towards the center. Coach scores with a nice right hand.
Coach throws a shot from downtown. Zapata moves away and avoids it. Zapata's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Coach connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Zapata scrambles back to his feet. Coach stuffs the takedown attempt from Zapata. Zapata gets slowly back to his feet. Crunch! Coach slams his shin into Zapata's torso. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Zapata takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Zapata fails with an attempt to clinch.
James Coach is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Zapata on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Coach throws out a token jab with nothing on it. A looping hook to the body misses from Coach. Zapata does a little dance to reset his feet. Zapata throws a lazy right hand but Coach sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Zapata avoids the body shot from Coach.
Coach tries to clinch but Zapata is having none of it. Coach scores with a body shot.
Coach pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Coach thumps Zapata with a low kick. Zapata throws a leg kick but Coach sees it coming and checks it nicely. Zapata throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Zapata throws a leg kick which misses Coach's front leg but catches the back leg as Coach tries to avoid it. No luck with that takedown attempt from Zapata. James Coach has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alejandro Zapata.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zapata tries to close the distance and clinch up but Coach swats him away and circles back towards the center. Coach dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Zapata. That did some damage! The crowd cheers as Coach lands an impressive looking overhand right. Zapata doesn't seem phased though. James Coach seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Zapata thows a left - swing and a miss! Zapata misses with a leg kick. Zapata misses the shot to the body. Coach throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Coach walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Zapata drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Coach swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Zapata's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). James Coach! James Coach is the new light heavyweight champion! A very excited looking James Coach made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
