The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phillips throws a leg kick but Helguera moved away.
Helguera gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Phillips.
Phillips will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Helguera takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Helguera is rocked!
Phillips rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Helguera counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Oh Helguera is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Phillips is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Helguera seems to have got his legs back now.
Helguera not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Helguera misses with a head shot. Phillips uses the momentum to regain guard.
Helguera wants to control from the top but Phillips keeps moving.
Phillips is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Phillips pushes Helguera off and gets back to his feet.
Phillips slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Helguera tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Phillips was well out of range. Poor timing from Helguera.
No luck for Helguera with that takedown attempt.

Oooooh!!! Phillips has knocked Helguera down with a huge combo! Phillips steps away and waves a wobbly Helguera back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nice takedown defense from Phillips. No joy for Helguera on that attempt.
Phillips drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Helguera's head, knocking him out cold! Phillips is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
