Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Bear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Morrison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bob Bear! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bear fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Morrison defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bear. Bear shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Bear takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bob Bear. That's going to take a lot out of him. Good standup being displayed there by Morrison as he connects with a hook. Morrison scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Nice straight punches there by Morrison. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Morrison. Morrison throws a right hand that Bear ducks under and follows up with a left that Bear also avoids with ease. Morrison misses with a double jab.
Bob Bear seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A nice combination there by Morrison.
Bear shoots and misses and Morrison cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Bear with a lazy takedown attempt and Morrison makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Morrison scores with a crisp jab that stopped Bear in his tracks. Morrison slips a jab and a cross from Bear.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bear tries to clinch but Morrison is having none of it. Bear moves into range and clinches up with Morrison. Bear has had enough of the clinch but Morrison keeps him there for the moment. Morrison tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Bear just stands there and leans against the cage. Morrison jumps guard but Bear stands there with Morrison around his waist. Morrison gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Morrison blocks a body shot from Bear. Bear tries to work over Morrison's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Morrison drops down looking for an ankle pick but Bear pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bear tries to clinch but Morrison is having none of it. Bear shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Bear was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Morrison tries to lock up and control but Bear gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Bear can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Morrison is looking to escape. Bear gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bear shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Morrison but Morrison pushes him off and we're back to square one. Bear shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Morrison counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Horrible takedown by Bear or perhaps it was just good defense by Morrison which made him look bad. Morrison displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bear. Bear fails to land the takedown. Bear with a poor takedown and Morrison counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Bear defending well as Morrison loads up on a big left hand. Bear tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Nice takedown defense from Morrison. No joy for Bear on that attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Morrison misses with a jab, cross combination.
Bear fails with an attempt to clinch.
Bear avoids a punch combination nicely.
Bear tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Morrison swivels and escapes. Bear tries to close the distance and clinch up but Morrison swats him away and circles back towards the center. Morrison throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. This has been an exciting period of action! Bear lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Morrison circles away quickly and effectively. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Morrison throws a right and a left that both miss. Bear tries to land a body kick and Morrison counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Morrison looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jay Morrison dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Bear darts in trying to clinch and Morrison cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Bear shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Morrison pinned against the cage. Morrison gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Bear fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. The fight stays on the outside here - Bear looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Bear fails in his attempt to clinch. Bear takes a shot to the body in his stride.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bear gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Morrison counters with a straight punch to the midsection. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bob Bear. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bear shoots in and bounces Morrison off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Bear postures up.
Morrison looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Bear passes into half guard.
Morrison gets back to full guard.
Morrison working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bear doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bear manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bear is posturing up here but Morrison has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Bear tries to roll out but it's too tight and Bear has to tap! Slick submission there by Morrison!
