Powers working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Castillo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Castillo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Powers is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Powers really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Powers feints and as Castillo raises his hands in defense, Powers changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Powers has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Castillo has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Powers is trying to stick to Castillo's back but Castillo is turning into Powers. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Powers's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Castillo.
Powers bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Castillo's guard.

Castillo fails with a takedown attempt.
Powers lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Castillo circles away quickly and effectively.
Castillo feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Castillo content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Powers has locked up a guillotine! Powers's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Castillo is holding on here and Powers must be using up a lot of energy. Castillo has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Powers gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
