Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Michael Patton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Torsti Turjake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Patton might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Zatox and Tatanka - Kickin Ass. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patton scores with a shot to the body.
Patton paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Turjake rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Patton counters with a stiff right hand.
Patton works the jab nicely.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Turjake blocks a head kick by Patton.
Turjake with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

and Patton counters with a good low kick that Turjake was not able to check.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Patton fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Turjake manages to avoid it.

Turjake bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Patton! He dives into his guard looking to finish!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Patton takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Turjake is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Patton.
Patton lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Turjake drops his hands momentarily and Patton takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Horrible takedown by Turjake or perhaps it was just good defense by Patton which made him look bad.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Turjake stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Patton swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Turjake looking to sit in guard and control but Patton gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Turjake not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Turjake is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Turjake swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Patton connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
This has been an exciting period of action!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Michael Patton.
I think Patton has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
