Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lorenzo Blood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Xavier Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lorenzo Blood!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Xavier Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blood looks for a takedown but Jackson sprawls well.
Blood takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Blood uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Jackson.
Jackson thows a left - swing and a miss!
Blood misses with a takedown attempt - Jackson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Jackson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lorenzo Blood. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jackson drops Blood with a right and a left! Jackson comes rushing in but Blood regains his composure and manages to keep Jackson in guard.
Blood is rocked!
It looks like Lorenzo Blood has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Blood looking for a guillotine here but Jackson defends easily.
Blood has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jackson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Blood is breathing heavily.
Jackson stands up and waves to Blood to follow him.
Blood takes a jab right on the kisser.
Jackson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Blood.
Jackson misses with a few strikes there.
Blood shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Jackson is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jackson can't escape the position.

Blood lands a big elbow.
Jackson is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Jackson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Blood. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Jackson is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Jackson takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Blood with the ground and pound from mount.
Blood blocks Jackson's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Jackson throwing hammer fists to the chest of Blood. What's that going to do exactly?
Blood cracks Jackson with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Blood won't let Jackson get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Blood misses with a head shot.
Jackson is desperately trying to improve his position but Blood has a good base and remains in mount.
Jackson wants to try and get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jackson is in all sorts of trouble here.
Blood has hold of Jackson's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Jackson manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Blood won't let Jackson get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
A nice elbow there by Blood.
Blood postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Jackson in real trouble here! The ref calls for Jackson to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lorenzo Blood!
