Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mikkel Larsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buya Kasha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mikkel Larsen!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Buya Kasha!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Arvi Lind and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kasha throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kasha throws a head kick that misses.
Larsen avoids the head kick by Kasha.
Kasha pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Larsen uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kasha.
Kasha misses with a body kick.
Larsen blocks a head kick by Kasha.
A head kick misses from Kasha.
Larsen scores with a body shot.
Larsen uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Kasha has time to react.
Larsen swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kasha scoring well with a low kick there.
Larsen lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.


It looks like Buya Kasha has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Larsen keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Larsen tries a head kick but it misses.
Larsen blocks a low kick nicely.
Kasha fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Larsen manages to avoid it.

Larsen throws a right and a left that Kasha avoids nicely.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Kasha.
Larsen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Kasha moves into range and clinches up with Larsen.

Kasha manages to pull guard.
Larsen trying to control the position from guard on top but Kasha is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Larsen pushing down on Kasha's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Kasha gets back to full guard.
Kasha is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Kasha is controlling Larsen's posture.
Larsen trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Larsen wants to control from the top but Kasha keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Kasha leaves Larsen with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kasha looks for the body kick but Larsen saw that one coming.
Kasha tries to clinch up but Larsen circles away and keeps his distance.
Kasha cracks the inside of Larsen's front leg.
Kasha fails in his attempt to clinch.

Larsen scores with a jab. Kasha acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
The crowd cheers as Larsen lands an impressive looking overhand right. Kasha doesn't seem phased though.
Kasha avoids a kick to the body.
Buya Kasha seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A head kick misses from Kasha.
Kasha throws a sloppy head kick and Larsen moves out of range easily.
Buya Kasha is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kasha pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Larsen throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kasha.

Larsen lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kasha circles away quickly and effectively.
Larsen throws a low kick but Kasha avoids it.
Kasha tries to clinch there but Larsen circles away.
Larsen throws a series of punches but Kasha avoids them all with ease.
Kasha moves in looking to clinch but Larsen pushes him off.
Larsen checks the leg kick.
Kasha avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kasha tries to clinch but Larsen moves out of range.
Larsen looks to land a combination. Kasha sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.


Kasha is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Larsen chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Kasha is still on wobbly legs! Can Larsen finish him?
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kasha tries to clinch up.
OH! Kasha has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Larsen smells blood and charges in for the finish! Larsen unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Kasha sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Mikkel Larsen!
Mikkel Larsen is the new middleweight champion!
Mikkel Larsen decided to call for a title shot in his post fight interview, which was very strange given the fact this fight was for a title and he's already the champion. I guess that's what getting punched in the head does for you.
