PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jonah Falcon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rice Gayce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rice Gayce told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Falcon. No joy for Gayce on that attempt.
Gayce throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Falcon stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Gayce throws a head kick but Falcon moves out of range.
Gayce closes this distance looking for a takedown but Falcon circles away.

Falcon throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Gayce tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Falcon is in Gayce's guard.
Gayce is trying to control the position but Falcon postures up.
Falcon missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Falcon is working Gayce over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Falcon postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Gayce is looking to stand up but Falcon isn't so interested in that idea.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Gayce looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Falcon is defending well. Gayce quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Falcon has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Gayce celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
